bObsweep is a robotic vacuum cleaner manufactured by a Canadian company of the same name.
Founded in Toronto, in 2011, the company operates in both Canada and the USA. As of 2015 it sells four models of robotic vacuums: bObsweep, bObsweep PetHair, bObi and bObi Pet. All models can simultaneously vacuum, sweep or mop, and sterilize the floor with UV light.
All models have features similar to other robotic vacuums: programmable cleaning schedule, HEPA filters, RoHS certificate, auto return to charging station; they also come with a remote control. On some models the vacuum's daily cleaning schedule can be set using the remote. The bObsweep models have the largest dustbin in the industry with a 1L dustbin.
The vacuums will automatically avoid obstacles, but reviewers have found that they occasionally need repositioning if there are many small obstacles and areas where they can become trapped. One more feature is a dog sensor, which causes the vacuum to change direction to avoid pets. The bObi model has a spot cleaning mode called "waffle" which gets its name from the way it cleans up problem areas in a grid pattern.
Like other high-end robotic vacuums, bObsweep models have a process for avoiding specific areas of a room where there is no physical barrier, with the difference that bObsweep's barrier system allows you to create up to two perpendicular barriers simultaneously.
The bObsweep company uses all recyclable material to make its products. The products use reusable dustbins rather than disposable bags. They also include an ultraviolet light to sterilize surfaces.
